Never Bested

Back in the 1800s, professional fighters would come out west from back east. They would travel on trains going from town to town and take on the local toughs. Usually these fights would be held in border towns, as they involved gambling and were illegal. The participants wanted a quick getaway. Sometimes the local boy would win. On the Internet, I found an image of an old pair of Levi’s (over 130 years old) that were found in an abandoned mine. It was fun to put them on this figure.

This sculpture is not about looking for a fight, but rather about putting out a vibe such that others know you’re willing.
