“SHADE IS WHERE YOU FIND IT”

It’s fun for me to see the human side of animals. Have you ever seen a cow scratch its head against the side

of a post?  Or, have you ever watched two horses stand at opposite ends of one another and switch their tails

to keep the flies off each others faces? We use sunscreen to repel the suns harmful rays and we spray insect

repellant to deter the company of insects. Animals are known to roll in dirt (to coat themselves in dust), thus

accomplishing the same thing that sunscreen and insect repellant does for humans. Out on the prairie, there

are one-hundred year old ‘buffalo wallows’ that record where such events occurred.

This little fellow has already learned that ‘underneath momma feels better’. Shaded, cool and protected.
